The First Memory I Remember

I was probably around 4 when this happened. I was a sickly child, so I stayed at home and simply did not go to school as the other kids did. I remember asking my mom this particular afternoon if I could go out to play with the other kids, as I was bored. I didn't speak a lick of English but as most childhood interactions can tell you, words were just never really necessary. It was quite literally midday when the sun was at its highest, and I can still remember the big ball of white light that stood out from the clear dark blue sky. I ran out of my house even though my mom said that there would be no one there. Besides, it was a weekday, and everyone else was at school, though I couldn't have known any better then. I ran around the entire place only to find no one. I then decided that I would play alone. With the whole place as quiet as a graveyard, I ran around the place doing nothing in particular. Looking back, it was such an eerie experience to walk through a place with no one, where not even a single sound of life could be heard. Like you were living in a ghost town. I went around picking flowers, leaves, rocks, twigs, dandelion fluff and some spiky grass. I sat down under a humongous tree, which must have been alive decades before I was born. The sun did not soften its light for me and I sought refuge from its splendor under the shade of the big tree. I wore a knee length sleeveless dress and my hair was cropped short in a pixie cut, my signature haircut when I was little. It was really hot. A ladybug of some sort landed on my leg. I didn't think in words back then. But I remember thinking that I had the entire world in my hands. The ladybug flew away and the entire world was dead once more. I decided to go home from my little adventure. I didn't last outside for even 20 minutes.
