The Art of Letterlocking

Letterlocking is the act of securing a written message in any way possible without needing an envelope.
I didn't know there was such a thing up until recently.

I was reading manhwas the other day and I noticed that whenever the main characters left a note, they would fold it up in a really special way. It didn't really catch my attention the first time I saw it, but after a while I was intrugued why everyone left messages like that.
This is what it looked like:

It's called a love knot letterfold, so I assume you don't just do this for anyone. Besides, based on the context of the manhwas I was reading, it makes sense I guess.
I then fell into the youtube loophole of watching videos and I found out that letterlocking is actually a very ancient practice and literally everyone did it back in the day. Personally, I think it's way more interesting to do this than simply folding it or putting it in an envelope. Which is why I made a playlist for the forms of letterlocking I would like to implement for my daily life. I highly doubt anyone around me would appreciate the sentiment, but I have already mastered all the folds in the playlist and I guess I will be using it for people who do understand it.
There's this really fantastic youtube channel that is dedicated to letterlocking and I would definitely recommend watching their videos for the sake of entertainment.
From now on, I guess I will try to pass more notes in class. How else will I use this valuable knowledge?
