This just happens to be the way I envision relaxing. I usually try to imagine myself relaxing whenever I feel very stressed but cannot do anythin about it. I guess daydreaming is technically considered taking a breather. So, take a deep breath and try to follow the path I am about to take you on today.
You have gone for a very relaxing swim and all you heard was the sound of water. You felt like you were the only person left on Earth. You are done swimming and you decide to go home. You take a warm scented bath. You soak for a long time, staring at the wall, thinking about the world and how things could be. You are done with your bath. You put on your most comfortable pair of sweatpants and your favorite hoodie. You put on your sweet scented candle. Your hair is dripping wet. You decide to dry your hair with the hair dryer. The hot air that blows against your cold face calms you. Your hair is now dry and warm. You decide to snuggle up against the window seat. You turn some music on. You are now hungry. You get up and get your favorite pastry from the kitchen. You put on a face mask and decide to lie down. You stare out the window. You decide to:
a) read a cozy book (suggestions below)
b) write about your dreams in your journal
c) watch a movie on your laptop (suggestions below)
You look up again after a few hours and see that daylight is fading fast. You watch the sunset with a sense of peace in your heart. Slowly but surely you drift off to slumberland where you dream of the day you finally reach the stars.
Book suggestions:
Your favourite childhood book (riordanverse for me)
Movie suggestions:
